When you feel like it
It’s possible to create a life where we only perform tasks when we feel like it.
More likely, though, we end up with commitments. Commitments require us to do work when they feel like it, regardless of whether we do or not.
And the best sorts of commitments create a positive cycle. We end up changing our attitude and our energy precisely because we said we would.
This is one reason why a long vacation can leave us in a torpor. Left to our own devices, we skid to a halt.

But what’s your budget?
This can be an uncomfortable question. Not because any of us have unlimited time and unlimited money, but because it puts us on the spot in a few ways:
Are you able to understand the project well enough to put boundaries around it? If you don’t, are you aware enough to announce what you will need to learn so that you can?Are you willing to be on the hook for managing the work so that you will be on time and on budget? Are you comfortable enough with your vendors and your team to accept responsibility for work you’re asking them to do?Are you a perfectionist, unwilling to ship the work until someone is finally so frustrated, cornered or broke that they pry it from your hands? The flip side: can you embrace the fact that no project is perfect and that by creating a budget, you’re leaning into boundaries that make you a professional when you do this work?
Too often, we’d rather say, “I’ll know it when I see it, it’s too important to compromise, you’re sucking all the fun out of it, the contractors won’t work with a budget and–don’t you want it to be good?”
But the best work regularly ships on time and on budget.

Help with Pardot implementation
My company introduced Salesforce at the beginning of the year and they also decided to get Pardot, thinking it was just a nice “add -on” and without really knowing the full extent of the tool. They also opted not to get an implementation package with a partner, thinking that it could be done by me… one of the few people with any digital/social marketing experience. I have spent hours going through trails, guides, and every kind of rabbit hole to try and at least get the basics working on Pardot but nothing seems to be working… not even sending a simple mail. Are there any Pardot implementation specialists out there who could help me, please!! submitted by /u/jessythe [link] [comments]

Looking for a way to send automated emails with catalogue updates
Hi there! I work for a company that rents out rooms and apartments under flexible contracts (3-month minimum, 1-month termination) and I am looking for a way to automate the emails we send out on a regular basis to people who are looking for an apartment with the apartments that became available for their preferred date. We have a custom-built system where we manage our catalogue (apartment info and availability) and we use Hubspot to store all leads (contact details and preferred move-in date etc.). I’m sure there is a possibility to build an API connection from our custom-built system to an app which creates the email, but I would also like to explore options where I do not need our developers to get involved. I have the possibility to sync our catalogue with a google sheet. What I would like the email to contain: information about the apartment, available from date, photo of the apartment (can be pulled from a unique URL per room), button to a form to book (Hubspot form embedded in a page on our website). Can anyone point me in the right direction where to look in terms of tools (free or subscription-based)? In terms of design, it would ideally look like the image below. But at this point, I would also be happy with suggestions for a plain text email containing the updated availability in the form of a list. https://preview.redd.it/h8gnfielrk791.png?width=1018&format=png&auto=webp&s=5ac687e814354537e00219a28e6048f7f2e6f637 submitted by /u/dinakerk [link] [comments]
